SOCIAL SERVICES & CIVIL RIGHTS
Arab-American Family Support Center provides culturally and linguistically competent and multigenerational social services to immigrants and refugees. It serves at least 6,000 New Yorkers each year through a wide range of programming, including legal services, English classes, citizenship test preparation, counseling, parenting workshops, and afterschool and summer programs for young people.
NYC, LONG ISLAND & WESTCHESTER: Council on American-Islamic Relations is a civil liberties organization with a mission to enhance the understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
Yemeni American Merchants Association offers a wide range of services to Yemeni American merchants and their families, including education, civil rights advocacy, and business and social service support.
ARTS & CULTURE
ArteEast showcases the work of artists from Southwest Asia and North Africa and promotes cross-cultural understanding of the region. ArteEast delivers in-person and virtual programs, such as film screenings, exhibitions, cultural events, and online publications.
Yaa Samar! Dance Theatre creates invigorating performance and education programs that increase access to the arts, uplift the stories of underrepresented communities, and use the arts to unite diverse audiences.
