LGBTQ+

Join us to support New York’s vibrant and historically significant LGBTQ+ community.

Support LGBTQ+ Communities

We are working to illuminate and preserve LGBTQ+ history and provide health, housing, and legal support for LGBTQ+ communities. Together we can:

  • Champion rights and strengthen laws.
  • Provide trans New Yorkers with health care, improved work conditions, and other assistance.
  • Provide emergency housing and services to LGBTQ+ homeless teens.
  • Illuminate LGBTQ+ history.
  • Build community throughout the region and across generations.

And much more …

The Trust grants provided financial stability and enabled us to develop a strategic plan. If not for The Trust, we wouldn't be here today.

Michael Adams, chief operating officer of SAGE

Over the years I have discovered that everyone involved with The Trust—donors, staff, and grantees—shares my passion for the city, its people, and for making it a better place today and tomorrow.

Jonathan Shoemaker, film producer, donor-advised fund founder

The Trust does an excellent job of vetting charities to make sure that they are sound and fill the donor's purpose.

Jay D. Waxenberg, professional advisor

My family values the work The Trust does on our behalf in these areas of education and the environment. It helps turn our interest into action.
