Funding Details

Program goal

Supporting community-based efforts that seek policy reforms that address social injustice through grassroots and community organizing.

 

Grants are made to

  • Programs that involve or are led by those most affected by the injustice, ensuring that they have a say in shaping policies that affect their lives.

 

Current grantees are working to promote access to housing, employment, and economic opportunity, and participating in the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws.

Release Aging People from Prison (RAPP)

to advocate for the release of incarcerated older adults.

Family Service Society of Yonkers

to advocate for affordable housing policies that benefit kinship caregivers.

Generation Citizen

to provide civic engagement lessons and advocacy experience to high school and middle school students in Peekskill, Ossining, and Tarrytown.

Community Resource Center

to support advocacy by low-income immigrants.

Community Voices Heard

to support advocacy by low-income residents of color.

Don Bosco Workers, Inc.

to support day laborers in Port Chester with a hiring hall, safety and workplace rights training, and advocacy.

Neighbors Link

for a leadership development and advocacy program for low-income immigrants.
