Program goal

We support programs that promote more environmentally sustainable, resilient, and just communities; that seek to mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting energy efficiency and sustainability; promote conservation and preservation of shorelines, reduction of stormwater run-off, and better planning for weather-related emergencies; reduce risk of exposure to toxic substances, protect drinking water quality, and preserve open space; and preserve biological diversity through habitat conservation and protection.

to plan restoration of the Blind Brook riparian buffer within the Rye Nature Preserve

Sustainable Westchester

To support Geothermal heating and cooling in the cities of Peekskill and Yonkers.

Center for Economic and  Environmental Partnership, Inc.

To support implementation of the City of Peekskill’s Climate Action Plan. 

Pace University Haub School of Law

to support the Center’s work to provide technical assistance to the City of Mount Vernon’s decarbonization of building heating and cooling and the upgrade of the Municipal Sewer System through a study of pricing heat systems.

Riverkeeper

to coordinate a countywide campaign for sewer consolidation.
